Thermodynamic type Stream Trap:
Thermodynamic steam trap is designed with a simple mode of operation. The trap operates by means of dynamic effect of flash steam as it passes through the trap. The only moving part is the disc, above the flat face inside the cap or control chamber.
On start up the incoming steam pressure lifts the disc and condensates & air is immediately discharged from the inner ring under the disc and is drain out. Hot condensate flowing through the inlet passage into the chamber under the disc, drops in pressure and release flash steam at very high velocity. The high velocity of condensate creates a pressure drop below the disc. At the same time flash steam pressure builds up above the disc in the chamber forcing in downward position.
The ‘MIRCO’ Thermodynamics steam traps are designed to steam system in S.S.material. The body can be of cast steel, cast stainless steel. The strainer is in S.S. 304 material. The end connections are screwed female ends.
- The available sizes are 15 & 20mm NB size.
- The traps are suitable for max. 42 kg/cm2 pressure.
- The traps are tested for hydro tested at pressure twice of the working pressure.
